How to stop bad habits

 Hello, I strongly believe you had a wonderful weekend. Today am gonna be talking about Habits, what you need to know about negative habits and how to stop them ...... I just hope you learn something new, remain blessed as you read. 


DEALING WITH HABIT

Habits according to the dictionary, is an acquired behavioural pattern regularly followed until it has become almost an involuntary action. It is an action donr repeatedly by a person that have eventually become part of that person. 

What you started as a habit can also bd stopped by you. Bad habits are not above your control. They are something you can control. 

If you think you can stop a habit, you can. Only if you are determined to be a winner or a loser. 

Certain habits have resulted in marital and family crisis, such as alcoholism, pornography, etc. Some habits have stood in the way of the manifestation of great vision dreams and destinies. 


KINDS OF HABITS

There are two kinds of habits:

1. Good habit

2. Bad habit


WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT HABITS

There are four things you need to know about habits:

1. Good and bad habits are formable and stoppable. Habits are not beyond your control, you can control them. 

2. They are the direct product of the choice we make on daily basis.

3. Good and bad habits are primarily formed from personal thoughts, words from a person other than one's self and from personal and environmental experience or happening.

4. Habits can live bey ond you, they transcend your generations. 


GOOD HABIT

Good habit is a proper or satisfactory manner one repeatedly exhibit that depicts a high standard behaviour in reaction to a specific situation. When you portray a good behaviour in line with God's word, you cause God to interfere in your affairs. 


BAD HABIT

Bad habit is a kind of habit you portray that is contrary to the word of God. It is an addiction to a wrong lifestyle or a behavioural pattern that has been identified by two or more persons as an issue of concern. 

     The following are some bad habits people (including some believers) practice:

1. Fraud

2. Alcoholism(drinking and serving it)

3. Smoking

4. Talkativeness

5. Pornography

6. Lesbianism, homosexuality, masturbation

And lot more.....


REMEDY FOR BAD HABITS

1. Be determined to let go.

There are some habits that will not leave you until you determine to stand against them. 

2. You must be born again. Surrendering your life to Jesus Christ, getting baptized if you are not....

3. Identity and agree that you have a bad habit that needs fixing. 

4. Do not see correction as opposition. 

5. Develop a strong hatred for that habit and be willing to let it go. 

6. Stop and think. 

7. Change wrong friends. 

8. Engage in the word of God and practice it.

9. Make sure you take a violent stand. 

10. Ask for the help of the Holy Spirit. His the comforter. 

In conclusion,
