WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED ?
Hello, you are welcome to Kaka Writes blog. If you are new here I also welcome you as well, may God bless everyone of you. As we all know we live in a dirty world of compromise, mischief, to wrap it all a sinful world, where sin seems to be dominating.
I decided to make this article to save souls. Here I want to outline the points and necessities for sinners to be saved. When I say save, I mean turning away from the world into the marvelous light of the lord, accepting Jesus Christ as lord and personal saviour as well as serving God.
Incase you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ and you don't know how to go about it, this post is mainly for you. I just want to let you know that you can still be saved, Jesus is ready to accept your soul back and you can still be part of the righteous.
What must I do to be saved ?
Many people think that being saved is just by faith, they excluded confessions and others but I tell you it's beyond that.
The steps in getting saved includes:
1) REPENTANCE
This means to feel or express sincere regret or remorse about a wrongdoing or sin. Repentance is a change of heart and mind that brings us closer to God. It includes turning away from sin and turning to God for forgiveness. It is motivated by love for God and a sincere desire to obey His commandments. Repentance is the first step to salvation, you have to repent of all your evil deeds so they can be forgiven. It's okay to be sober before God during repentance.
💥 Principles of Repentance.
Some of the principles of Repentance includes :
* Recognizing our sins and admitting that we have sinned against God.
* We must feel sorrow for our sins.
* We must forgive others and also keep God's commandments.
2) RECEIVE THE LORD JESUS INTO YOUR LIFE.
Accepting Jesus means accepting that we do wrong and that our wrong isn't right. It is accepting Jesus didn't die in vain and he did die for our sins. Not just everyone else's sins but he also died for your sins personally. Be specific about your own self.
💥How To Receive Jesus Christ Into Your Life.
Some of these processes includes :
* Acknowledge that you're a sinner.
*Confess you sins to God.
*Ask God to forgive you your sins.
* Ask God to come into your heart.
*Accept him as lord and personal saviour in your life by confessing it.
3) FORSAKE YOUR SINS.
A true Christian must accept Jesus Christ's sacrifice. His sacrifice paid the penalty for the sins of all mankind. But after we have repented and have had our sins forgiven by God, then we must move forward and forsake sin. Simply, that means we must stop sinning. Although forsaking sins is more than resolving not to repeat them but it involves a fundamental change.
“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” (Isa. 55:6–7.)
It is very wrong not to forsake sin, see what the bible says about covering sin.
Proverbs 28:13 The Passion Translation (TPT) "If you cover up your sin you'll never do well. But if you confess your sins and forsake them, you will be kissed by mercy".
Incase you didn't know how to be saved, I believe you know what it means to be saved, knowing it is not enough but practicing this you have learnt.
Now you can say this confession below with faith in your heart :
" Lord Jesus, am sorry for my sins.
Please, forgive all my sins, come
Into my life, I accept you as my
personal lord and saviour, I believe in
my heart that you died and rose from
the dead to save me. Right now with
my mouth I confess you as Lord over
my life, Thank you Jesus for saving
me, in Jesus mighty name, Amen ".
Congratulations to you! you are now a child of God. Just believe your sins are forgiven.
If you have not been baptized, I would advise you get baptized and start attending a church around you. Mind you, the holy spirit should be the one in directing you to a place of worship, so you don't get misled.
